Consumer chemicals - know what you’re buying

So I bought a bag today to keep my shampoo and liquids in while travelling, just something cheap so I don’t care if my shampoo leaks All over it.

I didnt notice in the store that there was a tag on it with a health warning from California. When I got home and cut the price tag, I looked at this weird extra tag, it was a warning tag. (See photo).

I found It quite interesting that there was a warning label on a bag. I’m not eating it. I’m not washing with it. It’s just a bag.

So, me being safety me, I read it. It says, “this product can expose you to chemicals including phthalate, which is known to the State o California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information go to www.p65warnings.ca.gov”

I looked at some of the products on the list, and although there isn’t ton of information on each product listed (it seems the site isnt completed yet) it does offer some interesting information for consumer safety.

Know what‘s in your products. If you see this warning tag on your products, check out why the warning is on there, do your research.
